A játék neve Abalone, 1987-ben találta ki két francia fiatalember. A hatszög alakú táblán (lásd kép) mindkét játékosnak (fehér és fekete) 14-14 golyója helyezkedik el, az eredeti játékszabály szerint a cél az, hogy a másik játékos golyóit letoljuk a játéktérről. Egy színből 6 db letolt golyóig megy a játék, egyenlő számú golyó nem tolja el egymást, és 3-nál többet nem lehet mozgatni ugyanabból a színből, tehát 3 letol 2-t, 3 letol 1-et, vagy 2 letol 1-et.
Ebben a verzióban, amely “The Pillar” vagy “The Princess” néven is ismert, mindkét játékos célja, hogy letolja a kezdetben a tábla közepén elhelyezkedő harmadik színű golyót, “a királynőt” a pályáról, aki ezt előbb megteszi, az megnyeri a játékot. Természetesen a másik játékos golyóit is le lehet tolni, de ezzel nem nyerhetünk, csupán megnehezíthetjük ellenfelünk dolgát. Jó szórakozást!

Hogy kell játszani?

Kattintással lehet kijelölni a mozgatni kívánt golyót, ekkor a háttérszíne szürke lesz. Ezután lehet üres mezőre kattintani (de csak szomszédosra), akkor odalép. Továbbá lehet másik golyóra kattintással megpróbálni eltolni, de fölényben kell lenni, és csak egyféle színt lehet támadni, tehát ha pl. a királynő mögött áll egy fekete is, akkor nem tolhatjuk el fehérrel, hiába vagyunk többen. A jobb oldali kis dobozban számolódik a kiesettek száma, és a játék végén kiírja a nyertest is. Fontos, hogy max 3-at léphetünk, de eltolás után többet nem, akkor sem, ha az az első volt.

This board game is called Abalone, it was invented by two French men in 1987. Both players (the white and the black) have their 14-14 marbles on a hexagonal board (see picture), and following the original rules, the goal is to knock our opponents’ marbles out of the board. The game continues until there’s six marbles of the same color are knocked out. Equal number of marbles cannot knock each other, and the player cannot move more than 3 marbles of the same color, so 3 pushes out 2 or 1, and 2 pushes out 1.
In this version (called “The Pillar” or “The Princess”) each players’ goal is to knock out the marble in the centre of the board which has a different color, this is the “princess”. The player who pushes this marble out wins the game. Of course the opponent marbles can be knocked out, but you can’t win the match with this, you can only make it harder for the other player. Have fun!

Click on the marble to be moved, then its background changes to grey. After this, click on an empty field to move the ball there (only if the two fields are adjacent). You can click on another marble too, you might push it away, but only if you win by numbers and attack just one color, so if there's a black marble behind the queen, you can't push it with the white even when you have more marbles. In the right there's a box counting the spilt marbles and showing the winner at the end of the game. Important: you have only 3 moves, but no more after a push (even if it was the first move).
